Description

An ergonomic, easy-to-grip thumb knob designed for action camera mounts. It allows you to easily tighten or loosen your camera setup without any tools, even when wearing gloves or with cold hands!

This model was specifically designed and tested with the Insta360 Ace Pro 2, where it works flawlessly. However, it uses the universal standard, meaning it is 90% likely to fit absolutely any action camera mounting system (GoPro-style) on the market.

It is the perfect companion for my helmet mount project:

🔩 Required Hardware & Assembly

  • 1x M5x40mm Screw: You will need a standard metal M5 screw (40mm long).
  • Assembly: After printing, simply push or thread the metal screw through the printed knob. It is designed for a snug fit to ensure the screw stays firmly in place and won't slip when tightening.

🖨️ Print Settings

This is an incredibly fast and lightweight print!

  • Print Time: ~25 minutes
  • Material Used: ~2 grams
  • Supports: None required (print flat side down)
  • Strength Recommendations: I highly recommend using 100% Infill or a high number of wall loops (perimeters). Since you will be applying force to tighten the screw, maximum strength ensures the plastic won't strip or crack under torque.
