Heavy-Duty Parallettes / Push-Up Bars (40mm)
Print Profile(1)

Description
**Heavy-duty parallettes (push-up bars) for calisthenics — push-ups, dips, L-sits, handstand practice, and more.**
Each parallette uses a **40 mm wooden dowel** as the grip bar. The plastic bases are sized to **maximize the Bambu Lab A1 build volume** while staying stable under load.
### What you get
- **8 printed parts** total → **2 complete parallettes** (2 bases per bar)
- Each base is **split into two halves** so you can print one half at a time (shorter prints, no need to run the printer overnight)
- Halves join with alignment pegs; glue the mating faces for a solid assembly
### Materials (not included)
- **1× wooden dowel, Ø40 mm, 1000 mm long** — cut in half (~500 mm per bar)
- Recommended: hardwood or quality pine; sand smooth before assembly
- Strong PETG or ABS recommended for the printed parts
### Assembly notes
- The bar hole uses **internal ribs (“teeth”)** for a **very tight friction fit** — this is intentional for a secure, rattle-free handle
- Expect a **snug fit**. If the dowel will not seat, lightly sand the ribs inside the hole with sandpaper
- I assembled mine with a **rubber mallet** — tap evenly until the dowel is flush on both sides
- **Do not force** if something binds; sand a little more rather than cracking the print
### Print tips
- Print profile included / tuned for **Bambu Lab A1** (256×256 mm bed)
- Use **high infill** and solid perimeters for strength (see included 3MF/settings)
- Orient halves flat on the bed as provided in the project files
### Real-world testing
These were taken to a **commercial gym** and used by **heavier athletes** during regular training — push-ups, support holds, and similar drills — with no failures so far.
