THE MODEL :
Capture the very essence of epic tragedy and chivalric lore with this striking decorative centerpiece. Titled "The Broken Oath," this three-dimensional art piece features two slender, interlocking hands pierced through their center by a Renaissance-styled sword with a heavily engraved hilt. Framed by dense Baroque scrollwork and textured drapery, this sculpture tells a powerful story of sacrifice, betrayal, absolute devotion, or an unbreakable blood pact. It is a visually commanding artifact, perfect for anchoring a bookshelf, a Gothic-styled study desk, or a contemporary cabinet of curiosities.
Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The dramatic line tension, hilt textures, and sharp blade profile were successfully verified using matte black PLA.
- Infill: Printed at 5% for the tabletop display preview. Technical Tip: Since the sword creates a long and slender vertical axis, we highly suggest boosting the infill to 20% and setting 4 wall loops (perimeters) to stiffen the blade and wrist areas, preventing any brittleness during handling.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Supports: Tree supports are required beneath the sword's guard and the overhanging spaces between the interlocking fingers.
Sizing Information: The model is scaled to a standard size optimized for desk or shelf displays. Please feel free to freely resize the model based on your desired use inside your slicing software, whether you want to upscale it into a monumental table centerpiece or downscale it into a miniature relic for a custom diorama.
INFORMATION:
A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?
For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.
Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
