Description
This is a compact and ergonomic board‑game pawn created for comfortable handling during tabletop play. The piece measures 16 mm × 16 mm × 28 mm, making it compatible with standard board‑game spaces while offering a much easier grip than flat cardboard tokens.
The model is designed for 2‑color PLA printing, featuring a black base and a colored spherical top. It is optimized for 0.4 mm nozzles and a 0.2 mm layer height, ensuring clean FDM printing with no supports required.
I designed this pawn specifically for my 97‑year‑old grandmother, who could no longer pick up flat tokens during games. The rounded grip and widened base provide a natural, comfortable hold that works well for elderly hands or anyone who benefits from improved accessibility.
The pawn can be printed in many color combinations, allowing players to customize teams and game setups easily.
This is also my first design created in Fusion 360, focusing on:
- easy FDM printing
- clean and durable geometry
- comfortable everyday handling
- accessibility for all players
