Description
When I previously modified the Mi Home Temperature and Humidity Sensor 2, I accidentally damaged the screen, so I decided to convert it into a box for 4 AAA batteries.
Now, without a screen and using 4 AAA batteries, the standby time is estimated to reach 2-3 years, making it very suitable for automation projects, filament boxes, and other locations where visual inspection is not required.
The back cover slides in from bottom to top for installation. After attaching double-sided tape, it can be hung on the wall, very stable.
No battery holder or battery springs are needed, but double-sided conductive tape is required. I used 5mm wide tape, but wider tape can also be used.
Refer to figures 5-8 for the tape and wiring. You need to determine the V+ and V- polarities based on your wiring method. It is recommended to use thinner wires.
