IMPORTANT: For this model you´ll need to use glue. Some pieces (Depending on Filament used and 3D Printer) will fit perfectly in a way where mabe there´s no needed to use glue, even though I recommend you to use it (SuperGlue for small parts and SiliconGlue form big ones, ALSO THERE ARE SOME SMALL PARTS Where you´ll need to use small tools to manipulate them correctly notice this before starting to print).

For this project you´ll need to be very patient, as there´s a lot of very thin parts, due to the complexity of this model, also there´s lot´s of supports wich you´ll also need to remove very carefully. But as you can see the work is worth of your time :)

To have the full details/colours in some components you´ll need to use AMS or Multicolour systems, even though you can still print them in single colour.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition is one of the most celebrated and sought-after Evolution models ever produced, created in 1999 to commemorate Tommi Mäkinen’s fourth consecutive World Rally Championship title with Mitsubishi. More than just a special edition, the TME was a road-going tribute to one of rallying’s greatest partnerships, blending motorsport pedigree, sharper handling, and unique styling into a machine that perfectly captured the spirit of Mitsubishi’s dominant WRC era.

At its heart lies the legendary 2.0-liter turbocharged 4G63 inline-four, officially producing 280 horsepower under Japan’s gentleman’s agreement, though actual output was widely believed to be higher. Paired with a close-ratio 5-speed manual gearbox and Mitsubishi’s advanced all-wheel-drive system, featuring Active Yaw Control, the Tommi Mäkinen Edition delivered exceptional traction, rapid acceleration, and remarkable cornering ability on virtually any surface. The combination allowed the car to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in around 4.5 seconds, making it one of the quickest performance sedans of its era.

Unlike a standard Evolution VI, the TME received numerous chassis improvements inspired directly by rally competition. It featured a quicker steering rack, revised suspension geometry, lowered ride height, and retuned dampers that significantly improved turn-in response and agility. The turbocharger spool characteristics were also modified to deliver faster throttle response and stronger mid-range performance, making the car feel more eager and responsive than the standard Evo VI.

Visually, the Tommi Mäkinen Edition became instantly recognizable through its aggressive front bumper design, unique fog light arrangement, lightweight Enkei white wheels, red and black Recaro-inspired styling cues, and the iconic Passion Red paint option, which closely resembled the factory WRC cars driven by Mäkinen. The large rear wing, aggressive hood vents, widened fenders, and rally-inspired stance gave the car a purposeful appearance that reflected its competition roots.

The Lancer Evolution VI TME became famous for offering one of the purest driving experiences of any Evolution generation. The combination of turbocharged power, mechanical grip, razor-sharp steering, and advanced all-wheel-drive technology created a car that felt equally at home attacking mountain roads, rally stages, or race circuits. It represented the peak of Mitsubishi’s rally success and the golden age of homologation-inspired Japanese performance cars.

Today, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition is regarded as one of the greatest Evos ever built, a true rally legend that celebrates one of motorsport’s most successful driver-manufacturer partnerships and stands as a lasting symbol of Mitsubishi’s dominance during the height of World Rally Championship competition.
