Description

This 7 pin electrical plug holder is designed for SAE J2863 trailer plugs.  These are the ones used in the United States and Canada.  They are sometimes seen in Mexico and also on U.S. exports to New Zealand and Australia.  When a trailer is not in use, these can be a problem to keep safe.  Water can accumulate in the pins during wet periods, or they lay on the ground where rodents are more likely to chew the wires.

This bracket prints in just 1 hour and installs with one 5/16" bolt.  I recommend using ABS or other filaments which are resistant to heat and UV damage.  I also recommend using an interrupted thread nut, or a nyloc nut to prevent the bolt from coming loose.  You don't want to over-tighten plastic parts.  The hexagon recess is designed with just enough room for variations in size from manufacture to manufacture.  The bracket itself has a slot which corresponds with the connector so it will fit nice and secure.
