This project took much more time than expected — but in a good way. I wanted the Customizer to feel useful, not just like a small gimmick. Over 4000 lines of code and 77k charakters...
After many tests, changes and late-night coding sessions, the result is a Moku System Modulorganizer.
Thanks for every download, like, comment, follow and FREE BOOST.
Update 01.06.26: Based on a user request, the minimum height has been reduced from 40 mm to 15 mm, and the minimum width from 60 mm to 20 mm.
The FIRST Moku System Parametric Desk Organizer
A fully customizable Moku System modular organizer for your desk, tools, pens, plants and creative chaos
This is my remix for the Moku Design Contest — and I wanted to create more than just one fixed organizer box.
The idea behind this model was to turn the Moku-style rail system into a flexible, parametric desk organizer that can be adapted to many different setups. You can use it for pens, brushes, tools, plants, small accessories, office supplies, hobby equipment or whatever usually ends up scattered across your desk.
I designed it with the Moku clean ribbed look, a modular base connection and several customization options, so you can create your own version directly in the Customizer. The generation of the customizer is for free! Just click on “Customize” and download your choice!
If you have any problems with the customizer, feel free to contact me!
What makes it special?
This model is built around a fully customizable system. Depending on your needs, you can adjust the organizer instead of being stuck with one fixed layout.
You can customize things like:
- Rail count from 3 to 6 rails
- Box size and proportions
- Height and width
- Insert/Inlay grid pattern with adjustable rows and columns
- Output: Box + inlay // Box // inlay // Preview -→ for printing use: Box + Inlay
- A bonus section for additional variations (little suprise)
- See attached description of customizer
The goal was to make something that is still practical and fun to customize.
Designed for everyday use
The organizer works well for:
- Pens and pencils
- Brushes and markers
- Small tools
- Desk accessories
- Mini plants or succulents
- Craft supplies
- Office setups
- Creative workspaces
You can print one box as a small standalone organizer or combine multiple modules into a larger setup.
Print notes
The model is designed to be easy and clean to print.
Recommended settings:
- 2 walls
- Infill: 8% Cross Hatch
- No supports needed
- No AMS required
- PLA works great
- PETG should also work well
- Use your normal 0.4 mm nozzle profile
- A clean first layer is important for the rail/base area
- Pay attention to the z-seam
For the best visual result, I recommend using matte, wood, stone or earthy filament colors. The ribbed surface really benefits from warm lighting and textured materials.
