🔥 Snapmaker U1 Temperature-Controlled Heater

 

A temperature-controlled heater designed specifically for the Snapmaker U1, utilizing a PTC heating element combined with an EC blower fan to improve chamber temperature stability and airflow circulation.

 

By maintaining a warmer and more consistent enclosure environment, this setup helps reduce warping, improve layer adhesion, and enhance print reliability when working with temperature-sensitive materials.

 

The design features a modular structure for easy assembly, maintenance, and future upgrades, making it a practical chamber-heating solution for U1 users. It also mounts to the factory mounting points (bottom + side panel).

🛠️ Assembly Overview

  1. Print all required parts.
  2. Install the 150W PTC heater into the heater housing.
  3. Install the 7530 AC (EC) blower fan.
  4. Complete wiring according to the temperature controller specifications.
  5. Mount the assembly in the designated location on the Snapmaker U1.
  6. Set the desired temperature and begin operation.

Basic electrical knowledge is recommended for assembly and wiring.

Heat reflection/insulation tape is almost required for low temperature materials.  

 

Fan duct needs to have 3mm foam padding to secure and block. 

 

Model has existing mounting for cable management, makes it easy to route cables.

 

Wifi module can be mounted in the bottom. PTC heater installation as pictured. Foam insulation tape recommended to cover the top side of the fan. 

 

Zip-Tie secured inlet cable

 

The heater unit can be secured by bottom and side mounting.

 

Screw mounting per image, also available in instruction manual.  

 

M3*12 screw mounts the side mount into the side panel

📸 Performance

Air is drawn through the blower, passes across the PTC heater, and is then distributed into the enclosure to provide stable and even chamber heating.

This helps create a more controlled printing environment and can improve print quality when using temperature-sensitive materials.

 

When pairing with XY-SA10-W's App, temperature range can be controlled; cold to full 60+ chamber in 30 minutes. Temperature also stable at per-setting.
