Chorkie Bust

This Chorkie bust captures the spirited personality and refined proportions of this lively hybrid breed. Sculpted in a poised three-quarter profile, the composition highlights the alert expression and distinctive ear carriage that define the Chihuahua–Yorkshire Terrier cross.

The head is compact yet well-balanced, with a softly rounded skull transitioning into a moderately tapered muzzle. The eye is carefully modelled to convey curiosity and intelligence, set prominently enough to express character without exaggeration. Subtle contouring around the brow enhances the bright, attentive look that gives the Chorkie its unmistakable charm.

One of the defining features of the sculpture is the upright ear structure. Tall and sharply defined, the ears provide strong vertical emphasis and reinforce the breed’s alert temperament. Fine surface texturing along the edges suggests delicate coat detailing while maintaining clean structural lines.

The coat treatment blends smooth planes with light directional texturing across the cheeks, neck, and chest. This controlled surface work reflects the varied coat types often seen in the breed, adding visual depth without overpowering the anatomical form. The neck transitions cleanly into the chest, maintaining proportion and balance within the compact silhouette.

The bronze-style finish enhances dimensionality throughout the piece. Dark patina settles into the facial contours and coat texture, while warm metallic highlights accent the ears, brow ridge, and muzzle. This interplay of shadow and highlight intensifies the expressive quality and elevates the sculptural presence.

The stepped circular plinth with cracked stone detailing grounds the composition with architectural strength, contrasting elegantly with the refined scale of the subject.

The Chorkie Bust stands as a tribute to bold personality in a petite form—an expressive sculptural interpretation of a small dog with unmistakable confidence and charm.
