About this model: This model is an improved version of the famous Shimano TL-FC16 tool. It allows you to screw and unscrew the preload cap of Shimano Hollowtech II type cranks.
The novelty of this design: Unlike the standard tool, this version integrates a central rotating groove. This clever design allows you to place a tape measure in line with the bottom bracket's axis. It's ideal for taking precise measurements on your bike (saddle height, reach, frame geometry) while keeping your hands free!

Instructions for use
- Loosen the two Allen screws on your left crank.
- Insert the 3D printed tool into the preload cap.
- Tighten by hand only (until the bottom bracket play is eliminated, without forcing to avoid damaging the bearings).
- To measure: Leave the tool in place, slide your tape measure into the rotating groove. You now have a perfect anchor point on your bottom bracket's axis to measure the distance to your saddle or handlebars!
- Retighten the crank's Allen screws according to the manufacturer's recommended torque (generally 12-14 Nm).
