Description
Turn literally anything into a tiny RC boat. Shoes, foam coolers, pool toys, cardboard creations, random floating junk from your garage… if it floats, this propulsion kit can probably move it.
This is a super simple 3-piece printable RC propulsion system designed around the electronics from the ultra-cheap XVB RC boat from Five Below. Just transplant the screws, control board, water seals, motors and propellers into this print, clip it onto the back rim of almost anything floating, and you’ve got a ridiculous little custom RC watercraft in under a minute.

The design uses differential thrust steering, meaning there’s no servo required — just two tiny motors controlling direction by varying speed. It’s lightweight, compact, and surprisingly capable for something built from an $8 donor boat and a few grams of filament.
