Home Gym Parallettes – Calisthenics & Handstand Training

These parallettes were designed for stable home workouts.
Due to their low height, they are perfect for:

  • Push-ups
  • L-Sits
  • Handstand exercises
  • Planche training
  • Mobility & Stretching

The handles consist of a wooden dowel with 28 mm diameter, which is very comfortable to grip and offers a good compromise between comfort and control.

Available Variants

There are two different heights:

  • 50 mm – compact and particularly stable
  • 100 mm – more freedom of movement and greater range of motion

Required Parts

  • 2× wooden dowel Ø 28 mm (buy at local hardware store)
  • Length freely selectable depending on desired grip width

For the model shown in the pictures, I used a 1 m wooden dowel and divided it in the middle.

Important:

The wooden dowel per grip should not be longer than 50 cm, as otherwise – depending on the type of wood and load – it could yield too much or, in the worst case, break.

Notes on Fit

The receptacle for the wooden dowel is intentionally designed to be a bit tight.
Depending on print tolerance and wood dimensions, the dowel may initially sit quite firmly. If you turn the wood back and forth in the receptacle a few times, it will adapt and the connection will become smoother.

This ensures that the wood later sits securely and stably in the holder without play.

Printing Notes

Recommended:

  • PETG or PLA+
  • PA
  • ASA
  • High wall thickness

For maximum stability, the parts should be printed lying flat.

Have fun printing and training 💪
