Under Desk Laptop Mount / Holder – MacBook Air M4

This model was inspired by the under-desk MacBook holder design by v1nn4ik.

I redesigned my version around my own desk setup and laptop fit requirements, including support for laptops up to 16 mm thick and around 215 mm in the held direction.

Description

This is a simple under-desk laptop holder designed to keep a laptop stored neatly underneath a desk while still being easy to slide in and remove.

The holder is made from two separate printed rails/brackets that mount to the underside of a desk. Once installed, the laptop slides between the two supports and sits securely off the desktop, freeing up workspace while keeping the computer accessible.

It was designed primarily around the MacBook Air M4, but it may fit other slim laptops, tablets, or devices as long as they are within the supported dimensions.

Some of the real-life photos show my installed prototype, which I modified by hand after printing so it would clear the underside of my desk. The taller raised section visible in those photos was only added for my own desk setup and is not included in the uploaded model.

Fit / Compatibility

Designed for laptops up to:

• 16 mm thick
• 215 mm wide/long in the direction held by the brackets

Confirmed design target:

• MacBook Air M4

Other slim laptops, tablets, or devices may also fit, but please measure before printing.

• Laptop width/length in the held direction
• Charging cable clearance
• Port access
• Desk underside clearance
• Desk frame or support rails
• Screw length and desk thickness

Works Well With

This laptop mount works well with my UGREEN Revodok Pro 108 Desk Mount if you want to keep a USB-C hub mounted nearby under the desk.

They are separate prints, but together they can help keep the laptop, hub, and cable clutter off the desktop.

Mounting

Mount the two brackets parallel to each other under the desk, spaced to support the laptop securely.

Screws used were M4.

Recommended before final installation:

• Place the laptop between the brackets
• Check clearance around ports and charging cable
• Mark screw holes carefully
• Pre-drill pilot holes if mounting into wood
• Do not overtighten screws into the printed parts
• Use screws appropriate for your desk material and thickness

Important Notes

Please check your desk underside before drilling or mounting. Make sure there is enough clearance for the laptop, cables, ports, and any desk frame or support rails.

The version shown in some photos may differ slightly from the uploaded print model because of the hand-modified prototype described above.
