Description

Dacia Logan (2006–2008) Air Vent Phone Holder Adapter

This is a custom 3D printable phone holder adapter designed for the Dacia Logan 2006–2008. The adapter fits directly into the car’s air vent and features a standard 17 mm ball mount on the end, making it compatible with many commonly available phone holders sold in stores.

The model was designed specifically for this vehicle generation and was completely remodeled from scratch to match the year range and compatibility requirements more accurately.

Compatibility

  • Vehicle: Dacia Logan
  • Model years: 2006–2008
  • Mounting position: air vent
  • Phone holder connection: standard 17 mm ball

The 17 mm ball makes it suitable for many universal phone holder heads that use the common ball-and-socket mounting system.

Design note

This model was created based on the idea and general concept of the following example:

Reference / inspiration:

However, due to differences in vehicle year range and compatibility, I redesigned this model entirely from scratch to better suit the 2006–2008 Dacia Logan.

Print recommendation

I printed this part from PETG, which is a good choice for car interior use because it offers better heat resistance than PLA.

Recommended print setup:

  • Material: PETG
  • Support: required
  • Brim: recommended
  • Print orientation: as provided in the model / slicer preview

Because this part needs to withstand insertion force and daily use inside a vehicle, PETG is recommended over PLA.

Recommended print settings

  • Material: PETG
  • Layer height: 0.20 mm
  • Walls: at least 4
  • Infill: 40–60%
  • Support: yes
  • Brim: yes

For better durability, you may want to increase wall count or infill depending on your printer and usage.

After printing

After printing, test the fit carefully in the air vent before regular use. Depending on printer tolerances and material shrinkage, a small amount of cleanup or minor sanding may be needed.

Also check that your phone holder socket fits properly on the 17 mm ball and provides enough clamping force.

Disclaimer

This is a custom 3D printed accessory and not an original car part. Please test fitment and strength before everyday use. Use at your own risk, especially in hot vehicle interiors or on rough roads.
