🩸 The Penitent – Helmet of the Miracle 🩸
Hello everyone! I want to share with you the result of one of my most ambitious, complex, and spiritually intense projects to date. I present to you the **Helmet of the Penitent**, the iconic and awe-inspiring mask from Blasphemous, a piece that has gone through a meticulous process of design, 3D modeling, and manufacturing to bring to life the pain and penitence of Cvstodia
🎨 About the Design and 3D Modeling
- Smart Segmentation: To facilitate printing on conventional 3D printers, I divided the helmet into strategic sections that fit perfectly using hidden guide pins, minimizing seam lines
- Surface Treatment: After hours of sanding and applying detail resin, I applied a paint base that simulates aged bronze and wrought iron
- The Final Touch (The Miracle): The true soul of the piece came to life with the post-processing work: dark washes to add depth to the cracks, a greenish oxidation effect, and, of course, the subtle shading that mimics dried blood accumulated at the base of the crown of thorns
