Description

After losing too many pepper leaves in the Great Squirrel War of 2026, I made these simple reusable clips for joining overlapping hardware cloth into a quick garden enclosure.

These are designed for wrapping hardware cloth around a potted plant, raised bed, pepper plant, tomato plant, or other vulnerable garden target. Just overlap the two ends of the hardware cloth, slide the clips over both layers, and the fence holds together without needing zip ties, wire twists, pliers, or permanent fasteners.

They are easy to install, easy to remove, and reusable, which makes them handy if you need to reconfigure or repurpose your wire enclosures next season. Great for quick wildlife protection against squirrels, rabbits, birds, rats, and whatever other tiny criminals are conducting raids on your garden.

Good for:

  • Hardware cloth garden cages
  • Potted plant protection
  • Pepper and tomato plant enclosures
  • Raised bed pest barriers
  • Temporary chicken wire or wire mesh fencing
  • Reusable garden fence connectors
  • Squirrel defense technology

Print a handful, overlap your mesh, clip it shut, and continue the war effort.
