Miniature Pet Carrier
Print Profile(1)

Description
This miniature pet carrier was designed for the popular articulated 3D printed animals/ minis. The idea was to give your tiny pets their own realistic-style carrier so you can carry them around, display them, store them, or use them for photos and dioramas just like you would a real pet / pet carrier.
I’m still fairly new to 3D design, so there may be some imperfections in the model and print profile.
I tested multiple print orientations for the door, and the orientation included in this profile gave the best overall results for durability and functionality.
Important print notes:
- The inside of the door may have some support scarring. Since it’s on the inside, it usually won’t be noticeable during normal use or display.
- After removing supports, you will likely need to lightly sand the small top and bottom hinge nubs/pins that snap into the frame. Supports can slightly enlarge these areas and make the fit tighter than intended.
- Other orientations looked cleaner, but the door repeatedly cracked or broke during opening and closing tests. The included orientation held up the best mechanically.
Suggestions:
- After installing the door, slowly open and close it several times to help loosen the movement.
- Carefully remove supports around the hinge areas to avoid damaging the door.
- Clips move around unless placed on the corners, you can glue them if you prefer.
If you enjoy the design and would like to support my future projects and learning journey, tips are always appreciated but never expected.
