Description

Elizabethan Era Cutout Bookmark

A lightweight, single-color Elizabethan era-themed cutout bookmark designed for book lovers, history readers, literature fans, gift baskets, reading corners, and quick 3D printed projects. This design features a Tudor and Renaissance-inspired layout with an ornate historical portrait, ruff collar, quill, scroll, flower, and decorative architectural details, all built into one flat ornamental bookmark.

This is part of my growing cutout bookmark series, where each design keeps the same clean bookmark format while changing the theme, artwork, and visual story.

The goal with this model was to make something that feels literary, historical, and giftable while still being very easy to print. It uses only a small amount of filament, prints quickly, and works great as a quick single-color project. Printing several at once can reduce the average time per bookmark, making it a nice option for gifts, book clubs, classrooms, craft fairs, literature-themed bundles, history teacher gifts, Shakespeare units, or reader-themed displays.

Print details

Size: 50 mm wide x 180 mm tall
Thickness: 0.8 mm
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Filament used: about 6–7 g
Estimated print time: about 25–30 minutes for one bookmark
Color: single-color print
Supports: no supports needed
Best use: PLA, Matte PLA, Silk PLA, or textured filaments

The bookmark is intentionally thin and flexible enough for normal book use while still having enough structure around the cutouts to keep the design sturdy. The openwork portrait, quill, scroll, and decorative historical details help reduce filament use while giving the bookmark a more decorative, premium look.

Color ideas

This design looks good in simple solid colors, but the Elizabethan and Renaissance theme especially works well in:

  • Black for a classic historical silhouette look
  • White for a clean literary display look
  • Gold, bronze, ivory, or deep green for an old-world Renaissance feel
  • Red, burgundy, or royal blue for a more dramatic Tudor-inspired version
  • Silk, pearl, marble, or textured PLA for a more elegant giftable finish

The photos show a few example colors so you can choose between a clean everyday bookmark or a more display-worthy version.

Notes

The display stand shown in some photos is for presentation unless included separately in the uploaded files. The bookmark itself is designed to print flat and does not require assembly.

This design works well as an everyday bookmark, but it also fits nicely as a small gift for literature readers, history fans, teachers, students, theater lovers, book clubs, or anyone who enjoys Renaissance and Elizabethan-inspired designs.

More themes are coming in this same format, so check my profile if you want matching bookmarks from the same series.
