Description
Designed for clean and flexible cable routing through thick drywall walls, this modular drywall grommet system was specifically made around 160mm walls, but thanks to its adjustable design it can adapt to a wide range of thicknesses.
The system uses flexible snap-fit ball joints, where each segment adds 38.23mm of length, allowing the tube to follow offset drill paths between both sides of the wall. Combined with the adjustable extension tube (0–25mm), the assembly can compensate for approximately 50mm (or even more if more segments added) of side offset depending on total length.
This standard version is compatible with common 64mm (2.5") hole saws and comfortably supports around 12 UTP cables plus additional optical and RG59 cables. Later on larger versions can also be created for higher cable density if there is a demand, such as:
- 76mm (3") → ~15–18 UTP cables
- 89mm (3.5")
- 102mm (4")
The endcaps are designed for standard 3.5×35mm flat countersunk drywall screws with a tight-fit screw guide so the screws stay in place during installation — especially useful while working on a ladder.
An optional guide cap accessory helps feeding the assembled tube through wall insulation more easily. Once installed, the internal ball joints can still be adjusted using a longer drill bit to optimize alignment.
The snap-fit ball joints are designed for easy assembly without excessive force.
