Pad for MacBookPro 15" mid-2012 (model A1286)

This is a replacement pad model for MacBookPro 15" mid-2012 (A1286). Over time, they flatten and then disappear, leaving the Mac to scratch the table with breakfast crumbs (or vice versa), but most importantly drastically reducing the convection and cooling capacity of the device, which ventilates as much as it can.

Printed on A1 mini with black Amazon Basics TPU.

The supports are optimized for easy removal, but sometimes you have to easily retrieve a last turn of filament stuck in the bottom of the groove. I haven't really optimized the surface finishes, even less so underneath. The part is functional above all, while waiting to evaluate its lifespan.

Installation: remove the bottom cover of the macbook to remove the remains of the old pads (for me, the small collar had remained inside). JIS 00 screwdriver. Take the opportunity to dust the inside. Push the pad into the hole, it holds by itself! It is also possible to glue them, like the original assembly. Replace the cover and the screws.
