Description

Curly Hair Grace Bust is a decorative shelf sculpture featuring a calm feminine face, soft expression, and a large mass of detailed curly hair that gives the piece its main visual character.

It is designed as an art object rather than a functional part, and works well either in a single filament or as a painting project. The hair texture, facial features, and bust shape offer plenty of detail for dry brushing, washes, acrylic painting, or simply displaying as-is in PLA.

Great for:

  • Shelf decor
  • Desk decoration
  • Painting practice
  • Figure and bust collectors
  • Home decor displays
  • Gift prints

For best results, print slowly enough to preserve the fine hair texture. A smaller nozzle can help bring out the curls and facial details, but the model is also working well at standard decorative print sizes. Make sure to let the print fully cool before removing the supports, especially around the detailed hair and delicate facial areas.

The example shown was painted with warm skin tones, dark hair, and a subtle patterned top, but the model can be finished in many different styles: stone, bronze, terracotta, monochrome, fantasy colors, or realistic hand-painted detail. In every case, I recommend using a spray primer to make the surface smoother.
