King of Shu Mountains — Mount Gongga, Generated from real geographic data (DEM)
Print Profile(1)

Description
- This model is generated based on real DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data. To more intuitively showcase Mount Gongga's magnificent grandeur and steep terrain as the 'mountain with the greatest vertical drop in the world,' a 1.5x exaggeration enhancement has been applied in the vertical direction, making the towering main peak even sharper and more striking; I use H2D for printing, and dual-extruder printers like X2D, H2D, and H2C can significantly improve printing efficiency and reduce material changes
- Mount Gongga (Minya Konka) is located in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, at the junction of Kangding, Luding, Jiulong, and Shimian counties. It is the main peak of the Daxue Mountains in the Hengduan mountain range, with a main peak elevation of 7508.9 meters, making it the highest peak in Sichuan Province, and is known as the 'King of Shu Mountains'. 'Gongga' means 'white ice mountain' in Tibetan — 'Gong' means ice and snow, and 'ga' means white, symbolizing this incomparably sacred mountain.
Mount Gongga is not only majestic but also renowned for its extreme vertical drop. Within a horizontal distance of just a few tens of kilometers, from the Dadu River Grand Canyon at an altitude of approximately 1000 meters to the summit at 7556 meters, the elevation difference exceeds 6000 meters, making it one of the areas with the largest short-distance vertical drop in the world. This immense elevation difference has given rise to 71 modern glaciers, with Hailuogou Glacier No. 1 being the most famous. Under the long-term carving of glaciers, the mountain has formed towering pyramidal peaks with extremely high recognizability. Furthermore, Mount Gongga holds an extremely revered religious status, regarded as a sacred mandala by Tibetan Buddhism and an eternal holy mountain in the hearts of the Tibetan people.
