Display for Maker Tazos !! (maker chips)

After 3DPP (Spain) I ended up with a ton of tazos from great people and there wasn't any display that convinced me to hang and organize my tazos.

Cool stuff, it's a super minimal design that adapts to the standard 40mm diameter (working on modules that accept the rebels), it's almost 100% modular and since it's a bit of a hassle with my friends at Puro Ticket  we've created a configurator for your display   which is inside a website we created to generate the file with all the tazos from the makers who went to 3DPP this 2026 and create a cool community!! Check out the TACXOS project!! there are almost more tazos registered than on the international maker chips page!!

If you register you can configure by rows, columns and choose your tazos from the list of registered tazos to see how your stand will look!!  It also tells you what pieces you need, the general measurements and you can even reorganize the selected tazos!!   Configure your display

The hook is designed with a range of tolerances to accommodate Maker Tazos/Chips of approximately 40 mm in diameter.

The last cantilevered layer is strong enough to hold tazos with looser tolerances, but also fragile enough to break when inserting tazos with a tighter fit.

If necessary, the last two layers can also be removed manually with typical support pliers. (do not do it with your fingernail, it can get stuck between it and the skin)

The design uses a dovetail anchoring system and support wedges. These parts also work with a snap fit system, and there is also a version with a less tight fit in case the normal version is too tight.

The system works well, but for large panels, it is recommended to add a strip of clear adhesive tape (like Scotch tape) to safely handle the assembly once the tazos are placed, as shown in the images.
(Brown tape has been used in the photos to make it more visible).

There are different types of joints: the normal version and two others specifically designed to hang the display on the wall.

One of them is universal and leaves the display slightly separated from the wall. If this is not a problem, you can also print more supports of this type and place them in the free spaces of the panels to maintain the same separation at both the top and the bottom.

If you prefer the assembly to be completely flush with the wall, there is another version with a hole slightly larger than 3 mm in diameter, designed to fit the head of a small nail and allow for a flatter attachment.

Warning⚠️ :
Patience is recommended during assembly and clear adhesive tape should be used to prevent accidents, especially on large panels.

Recommendation👌 :

If you don't have a small nail, you can use a thumbtack without the plastic part:

If you are one of those who like order, you have found your model, when the tape is attached it is removable and the 4x4 panels are perfect for storing the tazos organized in a filament box!!
