THE MODEL :
Make a breathtaking statement at your next masquerade with a bold fusion of paleontology and Renaissance opulence. This unique mask draws inspiration from the legendary Triceratops, reimagining its iconic prehistoric silhouette through dense, chiseled Baroque scrollwork. The majestic frill is transformed into a regal crown of intricate patterns, while its three signature horns evoke the power of an ancient titan. This piece tells the story of a forgotten creature crowned queen of a mystical ball—perfect for high-fantasy cosplay or to display proudly as an extraordinary wall sculpture.
Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The rich ornamental textures and structured frame of this model were successfully verified using matte black PLA.
- Infill: Set at 5% for the display model shown in the images. Mechanical Pro-Tip: Due to the leverage created by the forward-facing horns, if you plan to attach straps and wear it for an extended period, increase the infill to 20-25% to better balance the center of gravity and reinforce the tips.
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Supports: Required beneath the main horns and the lower edges of the ornate frill structure.
Sizing Information: The file is scaled to standard facial mask proportions. Please feel free to freely resize the model based on your desired use within your slicer, whether to custom-fit your exact facial structure or to downscale it into a striking prehistoric desk ornament.
INFORMATION:
A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?
For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.
Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
