I fed this Guanyin sketch https://tse4-mm.cn.bing.net/th/id/OIP-C.E_u27QM0bKxo6pHP4z5V1gHaJE?rs=1&pid=ImgDetMain to Meshy.ai to generate a sculptural model, and chose a better one. The image was a 3/4 side profile, so the generated model had a slightly skewed mouth, which is a common issue with AI models. Also, Meshy's training data has too much Caucasian ethnicity, so the generated face was actually too Europeanized. So I made some micro-adjustments in Blender, pushing down the brow bone, straightening the mouth, and making the nose a bit rounder.

The back support was a bit difficult to remove; even using diagonal pliers didn't quite do the trick. The printing cost was about three to four mao, taking over an hour. To avoid layer lines, the layer height was adjusted to 1.2.

The Guanyin in the sketch leaned feminine, but the generated model was even more androgynous. Don't ask me why I thought of blowing it in the face with a heat gun, but after blowing, it became more 'masculine' and its hair also got big waves.
