š ļø Printing Instructions & Color Change
This model is optimized for a simple color change at layer height (Pause).
- Start printing with Pink (or your preferred base color) for the main headband band.
- Slice the model and Pause command Ā is already available for color change.
- Switch your filament to White, resume the print, and watch your "Princess" text pop!
š§µ Material Recommendations
- PETG (Highly Recommended): This is the ideal material for this project. PETG provides excellent flexibility and durability, allowing the headband to flex and stretch naturally to fit the head without snapping or breaking over time.
- PLA: Works perfectly fine and gives a very vibrant, glossy finish. However, keep in mind that PLA is less flexible and more brittle than PETG, so the headband should be handled with a bit more care during use.
š Adjustable Sizing (Crucial Slicing Note!)
The model is fully scalable to fit any head size from adults to children.
ā ļø IMPORTANT: When scaling the model down for smaller head sizes, DO NOT scale the Z-axis (thickness). Make sure to uncheck "Uniform Scaling" in your slicer and only adjust the X and Y axes. Keeping the original Z-axis thickness ensures the headband retains its optimal strength, flexibility, and durability without becoming too thin or fragile.
- For Adults: The default model size is designed to fit most adult heads comfortably.
- For Kids: Scale down only the X and Y axes to achieve a smaller, snug fit for children while leaving the Z-axis untouched.
