Description

This is a functional remix of the original Tiny e-Lab, upgraded to include battery over-discharge protection, integrated voltage regulation, and enhanced HEPA fume extraction.

Modifications made from the original project:

  • Over-Discharge Protection Base: Integrated a mounting area for an XH-M609 voltage cutoff module to protect any battery power sources from draining completely.
  • Upgraded Fume Extractor: Deepened the original 80mm fan enclosure to fit both a HEPA filter and a carbon filter simultaneously. Added a slot on the back of the module to fit an XL4015 buck converter.
  • Variable Speed Control: Replaced the original 2-pin switch cutout with a mounting hole for an RPM control knob.
  • Heat-Resistant Iron Holder: Modified the iron rest to fit a standard M5 metal hex nut to safely catch the hot soldering tip. Added ventilation holes to the station base to improve airflow.
  • Unchanged Modularity: Retains the original XT60 snap-together design so the units lock together in series.
