Tired of accidentally pressing buttons when your UV-5R is in a mag pouch and you are using a remote PTT? Wish your UV-5R sat a little higher in the pouch for easy access and so you could store Sour Patch Kids underneath it?
Your problem has been solved.
Current Configurations:
Flat Back for sliding in and out of mag pouches.
A slot for the factory clip on the back of the UV-5R.
1" Clip for attaching to MOLLE.
2.25” Loop with 1/4” inner clearance for attaching to belts.
The bottom of the holster was designed to provide a secure building platform and position the holster at a 30 degree angle to increase strength.
The back plate for the storage area needs to be printed vertically so that the flex tab works with the layer lines rather than against it.
Design has been tested in PETG Basic and I recommend using PETG for the durability of the multiple flexing components.
I recommend printing the holster and the rear back plate separately. I found doing them together made the finish of the holster poor.
