Description

I wanted to move my Google Nest Hub out of the way, making more space on my countertop. Having not found any wall mounts that I liked, nor any that would suited my needs, I designed my own.

This does require glue

The wall mount is not 45 degrees, it's 60 to aim into the room more, and tilted to make the screen vertical. It features 3 screw holes designed to fit a maximum of a 4mm screw (or a No.8 if google serves me well), with appropriate clearance holes for a screwdriver. I included an area to wrap the cable round to keep everything neat. The Nest Hub is a snug fit in the holder so no other fixing is needed - once the cable is plugged in the back, it acts as an extra anchor point too. After the wall mount is attached to the wall and the Nest Hub is in place, simply slot the base down onto the wall mount (onto the dovetail section). The dovetails aren't a paritucuarly tight fit as I figured taking it on and off without resistance would help not disturb the wall fixings, so expect a bit of play.

I also included a drill template (only 3 layers thick)
