Summary
Want a replica of an early war WW2 88mm Tiger Tank round with an optional casing? This model easily screws together and includes insertable text so you don't need an AMS. There's an optional casing (the brass/gold part below the round) that you can print that also screws together.
What makes this an early war shell?
When the WW2 Tiger I tank first entered service around 1942, Germany still had enough copper that they could produce shells with copper driving bands. This round has copper driving bands (signified by the KPS markings) and doesn't include the hardened ballistic cap that was introduced later in the war (which is signified by a white painted tip and a “1” painted near the tip). Later in the war, Germany didn't have enough copper so they switched to a soft sintered iron instead of copper (signified by FES markings).

Assembly takes seconds
Simply screw together the pieces as you see below:

Then insert the text into the corresponding holes. Make sure you shine a light into the holes and make sure all the support material is removed before inserting the text. Its also a good idea to keep track of the order of the text and insert right after removing the letters from the plate. Ensure that the curved side is facing out.
Optional Brass Casing
Simply screw the pieces together and then insert the round into the top.
Note: if you are printing this casing to fit the older v1 88mm round that was previously released, then print the adapter in addition to the casing so it fits more snugly.
