Parametric IKEA ÅSKSTORM USB charger 2U rack mount

A side-mount bracket for the IKEA ÅSKSTORM 40W USB Power Supply (ICPSW5-40-1) that attaches to a standard 19" server rack using 2U rack screw holes (EIA-310-D).

Features:

• Mounts the power supply vertically on the side of a rack post, keeping it out of the way while providing easy access to USB ports
• Friction-fit cradle with a D-shaped profile: flat and flush on the rack side, rounded on the outer side to match the power supply's shape
• 2mm x 2mm retention lip at the rear of the cradle prevents the power supply from sliding out the back — insert and remove from the front
• All four 2U rack screw holes are pass-through, so equipment can mount behind the bracket using the same screws
• Exact 2U outer height (88.9mm) — fits cleanly between adjacent rack equipment
• Symmetric design with no left/right handedness — flip 180° to mount on either side of the rack
• Rounded corners on the rack-side lip for a clean, finished look
• Designed to reach around the side rail of a StarTech.com RK419WALLV 4U vertical wall mount rack bracket (should also work with other standard 19" racks with EIA-310-D square hole or cage nut rails)
• Fully parametric OpenSCAD source included — easy to adjust tolerances, wall thickness, and lip dimensions for your setup

• Rounded top and bottom (diameter = width)

• Overall: 55mm wide x 88.9mm tall x 98mm deep

• Lip: 28.25mm wide, 4mm deep
• Rack screws: 4x 6.5mm clearance holes (fits M6, 10-32, or 12-24)
• Fit tolerance: 0.15mm per side (friction fit — adjust for your printer)

Warning about the IKEA ÅSKSTORM 40W USB Charger:

IKEA issued a recall of this product in January 2024 due to a fault with the power cable — the cable can become damaged or broken, potentially exposing live parts and posing a risk of electric shock or burn injury. If you have this charger, do not use the original power cable. Replacing the cord with a safe alternative makes the unit safe to use. - Material: PLA or PETG
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Infill: 20-30%
- Supports: may be needed inside the cradle for the rounded inner overhang (printed fine without for me)
- Orientation: lip block flat on the bed, cradle pointing up
