Description
Mount for creating a quarter wave ground plane antenna from an SMA panel mount connector and 3/32" brass rods, and mounting it on a support made from 16mm OD (1/2") PEX plastic tubing.
See images for general construction. Cut the radials and radiator to size, solder to the connector, then insert the connector into the mount. The whole thing can then be push fitted to the PEX mounting tube with the SMA feeder cable running up the inside.
The photo shows antennas for 1090MHz (ADS-B) and 430MHz (TinyGS LORA).
