Description

Detailed Painted Mexican Flame Knee Tarantula (Brachypelma auratum) - Decorative Model

Bring the vibrant beauty of the Mexican Flame Knee Tarantula (Brachypelma auratum) to your collection with this intricately designed, decorative 3D model. This piece captures the species in a dynamic, slightly defensive pose, highlighting its iconic flame-like leg stripes. As shown in image_4.png, the model is meticulously detailed, with a striking multi-color pattern of deep black, vibrant orange-gold, and intricate teal-silver banding on the legs. The textured surface finish from the printing process adds a unique, artisanal character to the piece.

Key Features:

  • Dynamic Pose: Captures the tarantula with front legs raised, showcasing the full spectrum of its unique color pattern, as referenced in image_4.png.
  • Intricate Details: Geometrically detailed to preserve the appearance of the distinct stripes on the legs.
  • Multi-Material Ready: Designed for seamless multi-color printing (AMS/MMU) or precise post-print painting.

Printing Guide (CRUCIAL - Please Read):

This is a special instruction to ensure the best print quality:

1. Utilize the included 3MF file with its pre-saved, tilted orientation. The included 3MF file has been pre-oriented in a specific, tilted position. This is not an error! It is a strategic optimization designed to significantly reduce the need for support material on the most detailed parts of the model: the intricate face, fangs, and the delicate front legs shown raised in image_4.png. For the best surface finish and easiest support removal, do not change this tilted orientation on your build plate. It is specifically designed to be printed as-is.

2. Support Settings: Enable supports (we highly recommend organic/tree supports). The tilted orientation will ensure that supports are primarily needed under the abdomen and rear legs, keeping the face and front legs clean.

3. Layer Height: A layer height of 0.16mm or lower (e.g., 0.12mm) is recommended to capture the fine details of the leg banding and fangs.

Coloring Guide

  • Painting Manual: If printing in a single color (e.g., neutral grey), use fine acrylic paints to recreate the pattern shown in image_4.png: use Deep Black for the body, Vibrant Orange-Gold for the upper leg stripes, and a fine Teal-Silver blend for the lower banding. Use image_4.png as your guide for exact color placement.
