Description

If you have access to the 15L plastic storage container from PEPCO (container label shown in one of the photos), you can use this model to create a compact dry storage box for up to 4 filament spools.

This insert is designed specifically for this container and follows its internal geometry as closely as possible for a stable fit.

Features

  • Storage for 4 filament spools
  • Compatible spool dimensions:
    • Diameter: 200 mm
    • Maximum width: 68 mm
  • 2 removable silica gel containers
  • Optional hygrometer mount
  • Lightweight construction (~150 g of filament for the full set)

Included Parts

  • Spool holder assembly
  • 2 × silica gel containers
  • Standard vertical plate (ver 1)
  • Alternative vertical plate (hygrometer mount) for hygrometer installation

The part "ver 1" can be replaced with "hygrometer mount" if you want to install a hygrometer.

Silica Gel

Each silica container holds approximately 75 g of silica gel.

Total capacity: 150 g, which is sufficient for maintaining low humidity inside a 15L container.

Silica Gel Maintenance

Some silica gels may crack after absorbing a large amount of moisture.

If this happens, small particles can escape through the holes in the silica containers.

Please inspect the silica gel regularly and replace or dry it when needed.

Important – Lid Sealing Recommended

For best performance, I strongly recommend sealing the container lid with a self-adhesive rubber gasket.

I used a P-profile sealing strip, installed inside the lid as shown in the photos.

The gasket can typically be purchased in any home improvement or hardware store.

Assembly Notes

Each horizontal and vertical panel contains a different number of small identification holes.

These holes are intentionally added to make assembly easier and help identify the correct position of each panel.
