Slide Stop - Crosshair and Magnifier - Reversible

Crosshair and magnifier for the Slide Stop stop block by 3x3 Custom & KM Tools. 

Insert a 16mm Glass Cabochon for the magnifier. The magnifier is optional, it works just fine without it, but it helps.

Designed for a ½" wide tape measure that is spaced ¼" from the t-track

If the front edge of the t-track is at least 1"  behind the face of the fence, you can slide the stop to the “open” position and the magnifier ring will not interfere with material (see the fourth photo)

The crosshair is designed such that so long as the top of the t-track and tape measure are within 1/32" or so of the bench top, there is no parrallax. Just make sure you have good lighting.

I recommend putting a ½" wide adhesive magnet strip under the tape measure and then using a steel tape mesure (without adhesive back). That way you can slide the tape back and forth to really dial in the tape measure tick-marks  to the blade of the saw. …Good luck finding a steel tape measure without adhesive backing. INCRA Tools is the only place I have found one so far. I used one from Kreg and removed the adhesive. It is a PITA, but once its done its done. I found soaking it in isopropyl alcohol and scraping it with a utility knife blade works best.

The crosshair is very small. Print it slow and be very careful removing it from the plate.
