Do you like flying copters – a bit faster😁?
Are you building an FPV copter and looking for a solution where everything fits perfectly, is extremely robust, stable and yet affordable?

Also, if something breaks, should everything be quick and easy to replace?

If you use the Walksnail system together with an ExpressLRS receiver 2.4Ghz and happen to choose the Apex 5-inch Frame (AliExpress version, not the original) – (an extremely stiff and stable frame, very cheap approx. €20) –

then I have designed the perfect solution for you

Not only functional and durable, but also a real eye-catcher

This 3D Printed TPU mount was specially developed for the Walksnail Avatar Moonlight Kit and integrates:

  • secure mounting of the VTX
  • protected holder for both VTX antennas
  • integrated mount for an ExpressLRS 2.4 GHz antenna
  • integrated XT60 connector
  • additional protection for the XT60 cables to the ESC through a separate underbody cover (see other model in my profile)

The XT60 connector is intentionally located at the rear of the copter. This places the LiPo cable in a significantly safer zone and better protects it during hard crashes.

The cables to the ESC run neatly under the frame and are additionally protected by a cover

The diameter for the VTX antenna is 17.7mm, perfect for (FOXEER  Lollipop 5.8 G LHCP )  are great antennas

I have designed an adapter for the original Walksnail antennas included so that they also fit perfectly

Special features of this design:

  • withstands even hard crashes
  • VTX and ELRS antennas are optimally protected
  • clean and compact design and easy assembly
  • XT60 connector sits firmly in place does not dangle around
  • Micro SD Card “security”
  • easy exchange from Moonlight Kit to the Walksnail Avatar V2
  • holistic overall concept of the copter (all other 3D models of the copter will be uploaded soon)

I have tested it myself, my own copter has already experienced many hard crashes – the printed part has reliably held up so far

Another highlight:
I have designed the construction so that a switch from the Walksnail Moonlight Kit to the Walksnail Avatar V2 VTX is easily possible.

The position of the XT60 connector remains identical. This keeps the setup flexible and compatible.
(You can also find the suitable model for the Walksnail Avatar V2 VTX on my profile.)

Additionally, the design has a small safety stopper for the Micro SD card. Sounds inconspicuous, but is extremely practical:
In hard crashes, the SD card can actually fall out of the VTX. (without this security!!)

I myself have already lost two SD cards without this security. With this solution, the card remains 100% safe in its place and is not ejected.

If you want a stable, clean, and well-thought-out FPV build that survives even tough freestyle sessions, then this model is made for exactly that

If you have completed your "Apex 5 inch Walksnail" project, feel free to post a photo in the review so that other FPV pilots can see the build 😁
This will be a really robust and awesome copter!
