Description
This is a simple, custom-designed safety shield for the vintage Braun Regie 510 and Regie 520 receiver/amplifiers.
During restorations, one major safety concern is the 220V main power switch wiring. The mains voltage lines run uninsulated very close to the chassis frame and directly adjacent to the DIN speaker output sockets. Over time, original wire insulation degrades, posing a potential hazard.
This U-shaped shield acts as a physical isolation barrier to safely separate the 220V AC lines from the audio output section. It slips perfectly over the switch frame inside the chassis, significantly improving the electrical layout and safety of the unit without altering its historical aesthetics.
