Experience the African savannah in a whole new way! Emil the Elephant is a comic-like, detailed eye-catcher with a slightly crazy look that is guaranteed to attract all attention. Whether as a brightly colored eye-catcher on the shelf or as a perfect project for your painting skills â Emil brings a lot of fun to the print bed.
The model is optimized for both filament changers (Bambu Lab AMS/MMU) and hobbyists who prefer to finish their models by hand.
⨠Pro tip for the perfect look: > For the absolutely vibrant, deep look of the large eye, a thin layer of synthetic resin (epoxy resin / UV resin) was applied after printing. This gives the eye a realistic, wet sheen!
đ¨ď¸ Print Profile & Recommended Settings
This model has been thoroughly tested. For the best balance of print time, stability, and clean surface, I recommend the following settings:
- Walls: 3 walls (Ensures a closed surface, especially important if you want to sand or paint the model later).
- Infill: Lightning Infill (Saves a lot of filament and time, as the model is primarily supported in the upper area â perfect for purely decorative figures).
- Supports: Tree Supports â Enabled (on build plate only). Overhangs on the trunk and ears can be removed cleanly and extremely easily this way.
- Color Options:
- Multi-color (Bambu Lab AMS): The model is fully prepared for multi-color printing. Simply load the 3MF file and start printing.
- Single-Color (Airbrush/Painting): Print the model in a single color, light gray or white. The fine details provide the perfect base for acrylic paints or airbrush shading.
