🚗 Universal Wheel Fitment Dummy / Wheel Spacer Measuring Tool (4-Hole & 5-Hole)
With this modular wheel spacer dummy system, you can determine the perfect "fitment" (the distance between tire/rim and fender edge) of your car while stationary, without having to buy expensive real wheel spacers on spec
Thanks to the ingenious slotted hole design and the interchangeable centering ring system, this single printed plate covers almost all common vehicle models on the market
⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE / SAFETY WARNING
FOR STANDSTILL ONLY! DO NOT DRIVE WITH THIS! This component is purely a measuring tool (prototyping/fitment dummy) for the workshop. The car must never be driven with these plates! Tighten wheel bolts only hand-tight and carefully lower the car only until the tire touches the ground to measure the distance
🛠️ Technical Data & Compatibility
The system is designed to be extremely universal and continuously covers both 4-hole and 5-hole axles through the optimized arrangement of the slotted holes
- Outer diameter: 160 mm
- Possible thicknesses: 5 mm to 30 mm
- Slot width: 15 mm (perfect for M12 & M14 wheel bolts / studs)
- Covered bolt patterns: Continuously from PCD 4x98 / 5x98 to PCD 4x130 / 5x130
- Covers: 5x112 (VW, Audi, Mercedes, new BMW), 5x120 (old BMW), 5x114.3 (Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Mazda etc.), 4x100 (many small cars/classics), 4x108 / 5x108 (Ford, Volvo) and many more
- Modular centering system: The wheel spacer has a large 78mm central hole with a precise 3mm shoulder. The plate can be adapted to any vehicle hub via the insertable adapter rings (e.g. 57.1mm for VW/Audi, 60.1mm for Toyota, 66.1mm for Nissan, 72.6mm for BMW, 74.1mm for the older BMWs)
📐 Design Features
- 100% printable without supports: All outer edges and slotted holes have integrated 45° chamfers. This prevents 'elephant's foot' during printing and ensures easy passage of wheel bolts
- Sharp mating edge inside: The shoulder for the centering rings was designed at a right angle in the profile so that the rings lie absolutely flat and without play
🖨️ Recommended Print Settings (Print Settings)
Since the component must bear the weight when carefully lowering the car, stability is crucial:
- Material: PLA or PETG (PETG is a bit tougher, but PLA is completely sufficient for standstill use with correct settings)
- Walls / perimeter: At least 6 perimeters (This makes the areas around the slotted holes almost completely solid)
- Infill pattern: Grid (Grid) – The grid builds straight walls upwards on the Z-axis and offers the best print stability from top to bottom
- Infill density: At least 50%
- Setting for the adapter rings: Please print the small rings with 100% infill (solid) so that the thin guide webs do not break
