Kanister Adapter

Do you also know this problem: You have a lovely balcony with some lovely plants, but no power or water access or outlet? Such a problem had a friend of mine, so we sketched up a system to use a left-over 10L canister from the last festival to use as a water reservoir to feed into irrigation pipes, Gardena compatible garden hoses or drip lines. So I created adapters to screw on the DIN 51 thread on the outlet using different adapters. 

One model features a 16mm irrigation pipe connector, just like my other irrigation pipe system models. The second model  uses the standard Gardena ¾" thread, so it is compatible with all my other Gardena ¾" models. Remember to poke a hole somewhere in the canister to allow for air exchange, so water can actually leave the canister and be replaced by air. I am currently working on a version using a simple one-way valve, but I cannot guarantee a success.

You can also find fitting seals / gaskets for these two new models with the collection of O-Rings, seals and gaskets for my complete Gardena and garden system models. Using these and my Gardena system models, you can attach almost anything from 1" to ½" parts. All are European threads. 

If you use one of my hose connectors, please remember to dry your filament for an optimal accuracy and thus tight, non-leaking fits. Also, if you use models with threads, a finer print resolution leads to better threads and thus less resistance to screw on. A 0.15mm layer height (or Bambu Studio presets of 0.16mm or 0.12mm) proved to be well working with my testing.
