Technical Details and Engineering
The design uses precise geometry to ensure outdoor durability. In SnapIn mode, the flexible retaining lips dynamically recalculate their positions based on your lock diameter so they flex smoothly without snapping under stress. A wide entry funnel guides your lock into place, allowing you to click it in blindly while rushing.
Safety is integrated directly into the print. All top and bottom edges feature a smooth 45-degree chamfer to eliminate sharp edges in your cockpit area and prevent scratches on your lock sleeve.
If you choose screw mounting, the bolt paths are counterbored so the screw heads sit completely recessed inside the frame. For zip tie mounting, the internal tunnels include a hidden pocket that fully swallows the bulky locking head of the tie. You can also toggle the TPU zip tie option to print custom, high-strength ratcheted straps directly on your build plate.
Step by Step Guide
- Measure Your Gear: Note the left-to-right width and front-to-back depth of your scooter stem. Then measure the total outer diameter of your lock cable.
- Use the Customizer: Input your measurements into the sidebar panel and select your preferred style and hardware configuration.
- Export: Generate and export your custom STL file.
- Slice and Print: Import the file into your slicer. The orientation is pre-aligned flat on the bed and requires zero support structures.
- Installation: Place the clamp halves around the stem, tighten your hardware until it grips firmly, and click your lock in.
