Protective case for iPad

I came up with this after a friend had his iPad crushed in an overhead compartment during a flight — someone forced a suitcase in and that was the end of it. A rigid printed shell seemed like the obvious answer.

Will your tablet fit?

Two sizes available:

• 11" version — internal dimensions 260 x 190mm, with 6mm corner radius (iPad Pro 11", iPad Air 11", iPad 10th gen)
• 13" version — internal dimensions 290 x 225mm, with 6mm corner radius (iPad Pro 13", iPad Air 13")

Works for any tablet that fits within the dimensions above, regardless of brand — just measure first.

Before you print, take a moment to measure your tablet as you plan to carry it — bare, with a case, a folio, a sleeve, whatever you'll actually have on it. Also keep in mind the 6mm corner radius at the four corners: a tablet that fits the rectangular dimensions might still not slide in comfortably if its corners are sharp. It only takes a few minutes, and it'll save you from a frustrating end to a long print job!
 

A note on print quality: I test all my models before uploading. If your print doesn't turn out well, check your filament (old? wet?) and printer calibration first. Most issues come from these, not the model.
