Rain protection cap for umbrella stand ground sleeve

Slip-on cap for the round ground sleeve of a sun umbrella stand. It closes the open tube so that no rain, leaves, or dirt fall in, and the flat dome on top ensures that water runs off to the side instead of standing still.

The cap is simply placed over from above. It is designed for a tube with an outer diameter of approximately 56 mm: inner diameter 57 mm, which means about 0.5 mm play per side. This makes it fit snugly enough so that it won't blow away in the wind, but it can be removed without tools. The insertion depth is 28 mm for a secure fit. If you have a side wing screw or knob close to the top edge of the tube, you should check the clearance beforehand.

Dimensions: outer 60.6 x 60.6 x 41.8 mm, wall thickness 1.8 mm. Material requirement approx. 15 cm³, depending on settings around 20 g.

Printing recommendation: open side down on the bed, dome up. This way the walls are vertical and no support is needed, the flat dome also prints freely. 0.2 mm layer height, 2 to 3 perimeter, 0 to 10% infill are sufficient, as the part consists almost entirely of walls anyway. A small brim helps with shaky adhesion of the thin skirt wall.

Material: PETG recommended, as it is UV and weather resistant for continuous outdoor use. PLA works for testing, but degrades over time in the sun. Printed and in use on a Bambu Lab P1S.
