This design is a deflector (hood) for Basso brand pneumatic random orbital sanders like the ones shown in the photos.

It is strongly recommended to print in TPU because the part needs to be flexible both for fitting the hood into place and for securing the sanding pad (125 or 150mm).

These sanders are generic models manufactured in China and marketed in the West through various brands, so it may be compatible with models from other brands such as Technic, Atlas Copco, Starchem…

Before printing it for another brand or sander model, measuring is recommended. From my experience, I have seen some from certain brands that are extremely similar and others that are extremely different. Just a few millimeters make all the difference, so the compatibility decision is up to the model user.

If, when assembling the hood, it becomes warped or deformed and rubs against the pad, you can apply some heat with a heat gun and press it against something flat until it cools.
