THE MODEL :

Elevate your prints, herbariums, or family photographs with this stunning Rococo-inspired wall frame. This design stands out with its organic, fluid ornamentation, capturing the classic shell and leaf motifs typical of late Baroque art. Crafted to surround your artwork with a bold touch of character, its sculpted curves bring a striking depth that breaks away from traditional flat frames. It is the ideal accent piece to compose an elegant gallery wall, add a touch of historical romance to a bedroom, or complement a cozy, high-end cottage core home decor.

Tested Print Settings (Recommendations): The fine moldings and detailed structures of this ornamental piece have been successfully verified using matte black PLA.

  • Infill: Printed at 5% for a frame intended to be hung empty or with a lightweight paper print. Handy Tip: If you plan to back it with a heavy wooden board or insert a real glass mirror, increase the infill to 15-20% and add extra wall perimeters to stiffen the overall frame assembly.
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Supports: Recommended for the most pronounced overhanging scrolls depending on your flat layout position on the build plate.

Sizing Information: The inner window is proportioned for standard dimensions, but the file remains highly customizable. Feel free to freely rescale the model inside your slicing software to perfectly match the exact size of the artwork, pressed flowers, or mirror glass you intend to showcase.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
