✋ Crawling Claw Miniature – Severed Hand of Dark Necromancy
This miniature is part of the Monster Manual 2024 Collection, a series of iconic creatures faithfully reimagined as dynamic, tabletop-ready sculpts.
The Crawling Claw is one of the simplest, and most unsettling, undead horrors ever created. Animated through foul necromantic rituals, these severed hands retain only a fragment of malicious intent: to creep silently through the dark and strangle the living.
Small enough to overlook.
Silent enough to miss.
Deadly enough to fear.
This miniature captures the Crawling Claw in motion as it drags itself forward across the ground.
The severed wrist ends in torn flesh and exposed decay, immediately revealing the unnatural state of the creature. Veins, tendons, and shriveled skin textures run across the hand, giving it the appearance of something long dead yet still horribly active.
Its fingers stretch outward in a spider-like posture, with sharpened nails digging into the earth as the claw pulls itself toward unseen prey. The anatomy is exaggerated slightly to emphasize movement and readability at tabletop scale while maintaining the grotesque realism expected from the Monster Manual 2024 style.
The hand is posed low and aggressive, creating the unsettling impression that it could suddenly scuttle forward at unnatural speed.
The scenic base features rough dirt and sparse dead vegetation, grounding the miniature within graveyards, crypts, or abandoned ruins. These subtle terrain details also provide stable contact points for reliable 3D printing.
The pose conveys quiet movement and unnatural life.
This is not a monster that roars.
It waits beneath beds.
Inside tombs.
Behind doors left slightly open.
And when the lights go out,
it starts crawling.

🎨 Great for Painting
Perfect for grim undead palettes: pale flesh, bruised purples, dead greys, and yellowed nails. Washes enhance the skin folds and exposed tendons beautifully, while dry brushing can highlight knuckles and decay textures. Gloss varnish around the torn wrist can add disturbing realism.
📏 Scale & Compatibility
Scaled for standard tabletop RPG play, including Dungeons & Dragons. Ideal as a necromantic familiar, haunted crypt encounter, cursed object, or creeping undead horror.
No footsteps.
No breathing.
Just scratching fingers in the dark.
And something crawling closer. ✋
