Description

CurveLock Reinforced L-Bracket - Print-Ready, Fully Parametric

A 90° corner bracket built to take real load. Two solid side walls with a curved internal gusset wrap the inside corner, turning what's normally the weakest point of a printed L-bracket into its strongest. Add an optional central rib for even more bending strength on wider builds.

Designed to print flat on its side the reinforced corner lays down on layer 1 for maximum bed adhesion, and the rest of the part stacks cleanly above it with no overhangs anywhere. Layer lines run as continuous loops across both arms of the L, exactly where you want them for resisting bending loads.

Screw holes use counterbores instead of countersinks: flat-bottomed pockets that give every screw head a perpendicular seat. Tightening pushes straight down on the bracket instead of wedging the hole open radially, which holds dramatically better in printed material and grips threaded fasteners much more reliably than a conical countersink.

Every dimension is parametric. Open the OpenSCAD file (or use the MakerWorld Customizer) and tune to your exact use case:

  • Arm length, bracket width, plate thickness
  • Side wall thickness and corner radius (the "BIG dial" for gusset strength)
  • Optional central reinforcement rib for heavy-duty applications
  • 1–6 mounting holes per arm with even spacing and matching end margins
  • Hole diameter, counterbore diameter and depth
  • Front/back side walls individually toggleable for an open-back variant
  • Rounded outer edges so it's comfortable to handle

Suggested uses: shelf brackets, workbench reinforcement, enclosure corners, 2020/3030 extrusion joints (with hole adjustments), furniture repair, garage organization, robotics frames, drone landing gear mounts.

Recommended settings: PLA, PETG, or ASA. 0.2mm layers, 4+ walls, 30%+ infill (gyroid or cubic). For maximum strength, print in PETG with 6 walls and 50% infill — the geometry does most of the work, so you don't need to go heavier than that.
