Description
I created this AMS version of my original design for those who don't like painting their models.
The model uses 4 different colors: light grey, darker grey, white and red and produces a fair amount of poop as a result. There are a couple tweaks you could make to reduce this:
1. Print the parts on 2 different plates. (one doesn't need white, and the other doesn't need the light grey).. But this is a little more hassel.
2. Just combine the two greys into a single one, I think this will have a pretty small impact on the final product, but will save a lot of filament.
3. Use a fancy printer with multiple heads.
Personally, I find that I can get more interesting metallic finishes when I use spray paint on the finished product (assuming you have the metallicpaint and are willing to hassel with it). In my profile I show the two version I made to better illustrate my point.
