As shown in the figure, this protective case (perhaps "protective box" is more appropriate considering its actual volume) uses the "20260519 version" of the original model and the parameters described in the table above, and has been custom-adapted for the MoonDrop x Wuthering Waves collaboration wireless earphones (MoonDrop U.C.T.S/MD-OWS-014). It is currently divided into α, β, and γ versions, with further subdivisions into version 1 (fully enclosed version) and version 2 (semi-enclosed version) in the corresponding print profiles.
Update History:
20260523: α version released, rough finished product, loose dimensions.
20260524: β version released, fine-tuned control over all dimensions, just right dimensions.
20260525: γ version released, chamfer added to the outside of the box for easier grip.
Appendix (Random thoughts):
Currently, it has been found that these earphones (my firmware version is 1.3.0) have the following suspected design issues, some phenomena have been corroborated by the product manual, listed as follows:
- When LC3 is enabled, the earphone's Bluetooth name will have the "-LEA" suffix appended at the end. In this mode, for Bluetooth connection and disconnection, the earphones will not play a prompt tone for connection status changes.
- When the phone connects to a Bluetooth channel with the "-LEA" suffix, the MoonDrop mobile app cannot connect to the earphones. Connection is only possible when manually switching to a Bluetooth channel without the "-LEA" suffix on the phone.
- When the phone connects to a Bluetooth channel with the "-LEA" suffix, the earphone's touch gestures for double-tapping to pause and triple-tapping for previous/next track will partially fail.
